Raul Jimenez doesn't forget the Aguilas of America

Raul Jimenez continues playing in English football at 34 years old. The veteran Mexican striker fights year after year to try to earn a contract in European football. Jimenez left Club America, and the Mexican striker himself hasn't ruled out a possible return to the Aguilas. At 34, it's clear that contracts are becoming increasingly difficult to secure. This situation opens the door to a possible return to Mexican soccer. In an interview with TUDN, Jimenez confirmed that wearing the blue and cream jersey again is among his plans. "Yes, of course, it's in my plans. Several things have to happen, but if it were to happen in the future, I'd be very happy. Yes, one hundred percent. I've received several offers from different teams, but I think first things first," said the striker, born in Tepeji del Rio de Ocampo. The Fulham forward acknowledged that he follows Club America's matches from England. Raul Jimenez is aware of the results obtained by Andre Jardine's team. "Yes, when I can, I mostly watch the highlights, that's what I can do most, but when I know they're going to play, the first thing I check is the result," added the Mexican national team striker. Raul Jimenez was with Club America from 2011 until August 2014. More than 10 years have passed since Jimenez left for Europe to forge his successful career on the Old Continent. The 34-year-old striker acknowledges that it would be nice for him to hang up his boots at America. "Why not? It would be nice to finish where I started, but we'll see how things go," he concluded. Raul Jimenez in Liga MX. Club America has been the only club Raul Jimenez has played for in Liga MX. The Mexican striker played 103 matches in his first and, so far, only stint with the club. Jimenez scored 38 goals and provided 16 assists. Raul Jimenez won two titles with the Aguilas: the Clausura 2013 and the Apertura 2014. However, in the latter tournament, Jimenez only participated in the first four matches.
