Raul Jimenez will start for Fulham due to Rodrigo Muniz's injury
Raul Jimenez has 1 goal and 1 assist so far in the 2025-2026 Premier League season
Raul Jimenez will take on the responsibility of leading Fulham's attack after the injury to Brazilian Rodrigo Muniz.
Muniz, who was accustomed to being the starting striker for the English club, suffered a hamstring injury that will keep him out until mid-February, according to Marco Silva, Fulham manager.
“It’s sad news for us and Rodrigo. He’s a player with big goals for the season to improve his stats. It’s always difficult when you see him recover from one injury and then face another that requires surgery. Mid-February could be a good time for him to return,” Silva said on Friday.
Muniz’s absence adds to that of Antonee Robinson, who will also be unavailable for the Premier League restart after the international break.
Jimenez will lead Fulham’s attack as they look for a home win against Sunderland, one of the surprises of the season so far.
“Robinson will also be out for the next game, but Raul Jimenez trained with the team this morning and is available to play,” Silva noted.
