The US will not declare Russia a 'state sponsor of terrorism'. The White House believes that doing so will have serious consequences and affect aid to various regions of Ukraine. In fact, Ukraine had demanded from the US that Russia be declared a state sponsor of terrorism.

"The US President and we believe that designating terrorism is not the most effective or strongest way to hold Russia accountable," White House Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said at a press conference on Tuesday. Doing so can have bad consequences not only for Ukraine, but for the world, he said. 

The White House press secretary said, "We have spoken to humanitarian experts and non-governmental organizations." They believe that doing so could affect Ukraine's ability to deliver aid to its regions. Not only this, it could also jeopardize the Black Sea port deal, due to which more than one million tons of Ukrainian food exports are reaching the world. Pierre also said that all attempts to hold Russian President Vladimir Putin accountable so far would be undermined.

The White House press secretary said that sanctions imposed on Russia under such designation have already been applied to it. Our efforts to isolate Russia from the global economy are also having a significant impact. "We are shutting down Russia's military supply chains," he said. Because of this, Russia has to depend on North Korea for war materials. According to US reports, Russia has approached North Korea to buy millions of rockets and artillery shells. This is because America and other countries have imposed sanctions on Russia.

White House Press Secretary Jean-Pierre said, "We will put a stop to Putin's arbitrariness by quickly implementing the decision to impose price limits on Russian oil announced by the G7 countries." He said setting a price cap on Russian oil is a powerful tool that will reduce global energy prices and benefit consumers globally.
