Governor Newsom asks to end the militarization in LA
Newsom says Trump’s instruction violates both the Constitution and Title 10 of the United States Code; California filed an emergency motion
California Governor Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta filed an emergency motion Tuesday to stop what they considered an “illegal militarization” in Los Angeles, promoted by the administration of President Donald Trump.
Newsom accused Trump of using troops of the state National Guard and Marines to enforce his immigration policies in Southern California.
The motion announced Monday by the California governor is part of the ongoing lawsuit against President Donald Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and the Department of Defense.
