The US Citizenship and Immigration Services issued a statement on Friday saying that cases of fraud in applications for H-1B visas are increasing every year. He said evidence has shown that so far in FY 2023 and FY 2024, several petitions have been filed to investigate fraud in the lottery system of H-1B visas. USCIS said that 'H-1B program is an essential part of our country's immigration system, economy. In such a situation, USCIS is committed to implementing laws according to the changing needs of the US labor market.

USCIS said that the number of applications under the H-1B visa lottery system is increasing every year. So far this year, 7,80,884 applications have been received in the lottery system. Whereas last year this figure was 4,83,927 and the year before that it was 3,01,447. Usually this increase is due to multiple registrations done by the same applicant. This year there has been an increase of 4 lakh applications in registration due to multiple applications by one applicant. Whereas last year this increase was 1,65,180.

The federal agency has warned applicants that if the information provided by them or the company is found to be incorrect and if any mistake is made during registration, the application will be rejected. USCIS also said that they are also preparing to implement the law to deal with such cases so that action can be taken according to the law. Even in America, technical workers are also running a campaign against H1B visa and they say that fraud has been happening in it for the past several years.
