ICE operations lead to the arrest of 283 Mexican immigrants in California
The Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles said that ICE raids have detained 262 Mexican men and 21 women; of them, 36 have already been deported
A total of 283 Mexican immigrants have been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since they began the raids in Southern California on June 6, reported the Mexican Consulate General in Los Angeles.
According to the Mexican Consul, Carlos Gonzalez-Gutierrez, of the Mexican immigrants who have been detained during operations by federal agencies, 262 are men and 21 are women. Of the total number of Mexicans detained, 36 of them have already been deported.
Given the current situation facing the immigrant community due to operations by federal agencies following the instructions of the administration of President Donald Trump, the consulate offers support and advice to Mexicans who require it.
