The shocking news is coming out of Johannesburg, South Africa. AFP News Agency is quoted as saying that there has been a shooting in a bar in Soweto Township, Johannesburg, in which 14 people have died till the time of writing the news. While the condition of three others remains critical.

A group of people came in a minibus taxi late Saturday night and fired at some patrons at the bar, police said. The police removed the bodies on Sunday morning and started an investigation. The police is probing why the firing happened.

Three persons seriously injured in the firing and another injured have been taken to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. where he is being treated. Police Commissioner of Gauteng Province, Lieutenant General Ilyas Mawela, said the number of cartridges found at the scene indicated it was a group of people who shot the guards. Mavela said, "Preliminary investigation shows that the people present there were celebrating at the license-holder bar here. He said, suddenly these people heard gunshots and tried to get out of the bar.
