Gavin Newsom urges California travelers to know their rights before ICE
California Governor says California travelers should know their rights before ICE agents at airports across the country
California Governor Gavin Newsom urges California travelers to know their rights due to the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at at least 14 airports across the United States.
Newsom posted the recommendation on social media after that an immigrant woman was detained while with her daughter by federal agents Sunday night in San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
“Californians, if you are going to the airport, it is critical that you know your legal rights and how to stay safe in the presence of Trump's federal agents,” Newsom wrote.
