The agent in question is being investigated for allegedly having been the source of a recent MS Now article about the discontent of Vance's security team over the supposed large number of assignments on personal trips of the vice president and his family.

That outlet cited Secret Service sources who consider some assignments inappropriate, such as transporting the vice-presidential couple's young son to a golf class in a military helicopter.

The publication caught the attention of the Secret Service, the FBI and senior White House officials, who investigated the details of the operations described in the article, CNN notes.
