Marina discovers 3 drug laboratories in Sinaloa and seizes 4 tons of methamphetamine
What was seized in these operations represents an economic impact of more than 53 million dollars on organized crime.
As a result of different naval intelligence operations, with the aim of weakening criminal structures dedicated to the production of synthetic drugs, elements of the Secretary of the Navy (Semar), dismantled three clandestine laboratories for the production of synthetic drugs in the towns of Los Haros and Los Cedritos, in Sinaloa.
In one of the operations, a clandestine laboratory was located and neutralized, where approximately 4,000 kilos of methamphetamine and 200 kilos of different substances and chemical precursors, as well as various materials used for the production of synthetic drugs, were seized.
In a second action in the town of Los Cedritos, two laboratories were located. In one of them there were 400 liters of acetic acid, as well as 1,200 kilograms of caustic soda and various tools.
In the third laboratory, 200 kilos of methamphetamines, 450 kilos of dried product, 400 liters of mixed product, as well as 3,000 liters of liquid precursors were discovered.
All the seized material was disabled to prevent its reuse, and was also made available to the agent of the Public Ministry.
The estimated economic impact on organized crime amounts to more than 923 million pesos, which is equivalent to around 53 million dollars.
With these actions, the institutions of the Security Cabinet reaffirm their commitment to work in a coordinated manner to prevent illicit substances from reaching the streets, protect the population and strengthen the rule of law.
