Poland denounces sabotage against one of its railway lines connecting with Ukraine
In a video posted on X, the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, denounces sabotage on the Polish railway line
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says the target of the sabotage that occurred on Monday, November 17, 2025, against a Polish railway line is a “key route for aid shipments to Ukraine.” Tusk has stressed that the culprits will be caught “regardless of who the instigator is.” In a message posted on Twitter, Tusk confirmed the detonation of an explosive device on the Warsaw-Lublin railway line, as well as “damage” to the same track, but at a different point along that route. In another message posted on the same platform, the Polish Prime Minister called the events “an unprecedented act of sabotage directed against the security of the Polish state and its citizens” and promised “firm action against those responsible.” Rail traffic diverted. “As we have done in previous cases of this kind, we will catch the perpetrators, regardless of who the masterminds are,” Tusk wrote. The police, emergency services, the public prosecutor's office, and agents from the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and the Central Bureau of Police Investigations (CBS) are currently investigating the matter with the highest priority. Rail traffic in the area is being diverted to an adjacent track. For his part, Interior and Administration Minister Marcin Kierwinski also confirmed that “unfortunately, there is no doubt that this was an act of sabotage.” Polish Defense Minister W?adys?aw Kosiniak-Kamysz has already announced that the armed forces will inspect approximately 120 kilometers of railway track between the section affected by the sabotage and the border with Ukraine at Hrubieszow.
