Suspect in Los Angeles fire pleads not guilty

The suspect in the blaze that started the Palisades fire, one of the most destructive in Los Angeles history, pleaded not guilty Thursday in his initial court appearance.
Jonathan Rinderknecht, of A 29-year-old Melbourne, Florida, resident appeared in Los Angeles court Thursday to face federal charges of destruction of property by fire, arson, and wood arson. He denied all charges.
Rinderknecht was arrested on October 7 in Florida and identified as the prime suspect in starting the fire that sparked the Palisades Fire in the Pacific Palisades hills a week later.
