The Donald Trump administration has assured that it has gone twelve consecutive months without releasing immigrants detained at the southern border, a fact that the White House boasts as one of the main achievements of its immigration policy.
Through a press release, the Department of Homeland Security(DHS) and the Bureau of Customs and Protection Border (CBP) maintain that irregular crossings and detentions at the border are at historical lows.
