Two Hispanic brothers died in an explosion caused by suspected fireworks Tuesday night inside an apartment in Bell Gardens, Los Angeles County.
Carlos Hernandez, A 13-year-old girl died in the apartment where the explosion occurred. Her brother, Christopher Benitez, 24, was rushed to a hospital where, according to family members, he later died from his injuries. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) reported that the explosion occurred after 6:00 p.m. in the 6500 block of Purdy Avenue, following calls from people who reported hearing the blast.
