US Government attacks another boat with alleged drugs and kills 2 people
The Trump government's campaign to destroy alleged drug vessels has left at least 188 dead in total
The US military announced another attack on a vessel accused of transporting drugs in the Caribbean Sea, which left two dead on Monday.
The United States Southern Command reiterated previous statements claiming it had attacked suspected drug traffickers along known smuggling routes.
He posted a video on social media showing a boat sailing before a massive explosion engulfed it in flames.
In a statement, the military organization specified that “two narco-terrorists men died during the operation”. It also indicated that no member of the US forces was injured or suffered harm during the action.
The Trump government campaign to destroy alleged drug trafficking vessels in Latin American waters has continued of s since early September and has left at least 188 dead in total. Attacks have also occurred in the Eastern Pacific.
Despite the war with Iran, the series of attacks has intensified in recent weeks, which demonstrates that the aggressive government measures to stop what it calls “narcoterrorism” in the Western hemisphere does not stop.
The attacks began as the United States reinforced its larger military presence in the region in generations and occurred months before the January operation ro who captured then Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro. Maduro was transferred to New York to face drug-trafficking charges and pleaded innocent.
President Trump has declared that the United States is in “armed conflict” with cartels in Latin America and has justified the at these as a necessary escalation to stop the flow of drugs into the United States and the fatal overdoses that claim American lives.
However, his administration has presented little evidence supporting his claims of killing “narcoterrorists.”
