In the midst of the national emergency due to the earthquakes in Venezuela, which has already left more than 580 dead and thousands injured and missing, the name of Yorgelys Delgado has become a trend. This is a beloved Venezuelan actress and entertainer who reportedly died in the midst of the catastrophe.
Different local and international media indicate that the 45-year-old celebrity is still missing after the partial collapse of the Coral Beach building, where the famous person resides, in the state of La Guaira.
Even some portals such as TV Azteca and El Espectador de Colombia headline that Yorgelys Delgado died.
However, on the Instagram account of her daughter, Miranda Mijares, a statement was issued this Friday and clarifies that Yorgelys has not yet been located.
"We remain in constant prayer, fully trusting that God will grant us the miracle of seeing her again. We strongly ask for respect for our privacy and prudence," reads the text, which urges us to avoid information "that is not duly confirmed."
The online encyclopedia Wikipedia has made up to three editions on the life status of Yorgelys Delgado. This Thursday he reported her as deceased, then changed to missing and again points out that the entertainer born in La Guaira died during the earthquakes that collapsed the Coral Beach building.
Yorgelys' mother, according to information spread in multiple media, also disappeared with her.

The career of Yorgelys Delgado
When she was just a teenager, Yorgelys stood out as an actress, entertainer and dancer in the golden era of children's programs on the renowned Venezuelan channel Venevisión. During the 90s and early 2000s, he was one of the most beloved faces on screens.
Along with another group of celebrities from that time, such as Wanda d'Isidoro, Milena Torres and Patricia Schwarzgruber, Yorgelys Delgado was part of the children's program 'El Club de los Tigritos'. Next, he animated 'Rugemanía' and 'Atomico', which maintained similar formats.
Within these same spaces he was in the cast of youth series such as 'Entre tú y yo' and 'De sol a sol', the latter starring the Venezuelan singers Servando and Florentino. In 2009, Yorgelys retired from the show and in 2012 she became a mother to Miranda.
