Kelsey Grammer, famous television actor, producer and director, is considering the possibility of running for political office representing the Republican Party.

During an interview with Us Weekly magazine, the actor originally from the Virgin Islands admitted that he was attracted to politics and the idea that his voice could represent citizens in demands for problems not yet resolved by those who currently hold positions in the government.

"Possibly I would meet that requirement, in terms of the service that I feel I should have provided to my fellow men, to my compatriots, and that I was not able to provide to them during my military service. Perhaps that would be the way to do it. I have reflected a lot on it," he mentioned.

From Grammer's perspective, his achieved maturity represents an advantage to compete against other candidates for public elected positions or against politicians who are constantly trying to get re-elected.

“I am a vital person and I am prepared to remain that way for quite some time, and yes, it is likely that I will at least run as a candidate in some way,” he mentioned.

More than a decade ago, the 71-year-old actor had already expressed his desire to enter the political arena, only at that time he aspired to occupy a seat in the Senate.

However, something happened that ended up not touching the subject again and instead he decided to continue linked to the production of content for television.

Regarding his political inclination, for years he has identified himself as a Republican, even publicly supporting Donald Trump's ability to guide the country from the White House.

This week, both characters finally met in person after Kelsey Grammer had the opportunity to visit the Oval Office to greet who she has defined as “perhaps the best president.”

"It was vibrant and fun. We exchanged some anecdotes about our lives, our personal lives, our wives and our families. It was a real pleasure to see him," said the actor upon leaving the meeting with the New York magnate.
