The Congress on Saturday issued a 'charge sheet' against the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. The opposition party termed the BJP as a 'corrupt jumla party' and alleged that its mantra is 'support of some, development of itself, betrayal of all'. The party also said that Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the Bharat Jodo Yatra, will unfurl the national flag at the State Congress Committee office in Srinagar's Lal Chowk area and then address a public meeting at the Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, which runs from Kashmir to Kanyakumar. Till will mark the end of the journey. 

Addressing the press at the Congress headquarters here, party general secretaries Jairam Ramesh and KC Venugopal also unveiled the logo of the party's next campaign 'Haath Se Hath Jodo Abhiyan'. The logo is similar to the ones of Bharat Jodo Yatra, but the only difference is that Congress's election symbol 'hand' has been added to it which shows that the campaign will be 100 per cent political.

Venugopal said, as part of the Congress campaign starting from January 26, the party will deliver Rahul Gandhi's letter to every household with the message of 'charge sheet' and journey. The 'charge sheet' issued by the two leaders termed the BJP as a 'corrupt jumla party' and alleged that its mantra is 'support of some, development of itself and betrayal of all'.  

The one-page 'charge sheet' shared by the Congress has been divided into three sections - 'support of some', 'development of oneself' and 'betrayal of all'. Under the 'Kuch Ka Saath' section of the 'charge sheet', the party alleged loan waivers for select businessmen, the richest 10 per cent holding 64 per cent of India's wealth and 'gifting' of ports and airports to 'close friends' of the prime minister. went. In the segment 'Khud Ka Vikas', the Congress accused the BJP of spending crores of rupees on propaganda and indulging in nepotism.    

Venugopal said that along with this 'charge sheet', the concerned state units of the party will also prepare 'charge sheet' against the state governments. He said, 'This is 100 per cent political campaign. The same cannot be said about travel. This is also the second leg of the journey. We will try to reach 10 lakh polling stations, six lakh villages and 2.5 lakh gram panchayats. 

Asked why Rahul Gandhi was not hoisting the tricolor at Lal Chowk, Ramesh said it was not being reported properly as the state Congress office is at Lal Chowk and it was natural that the former party chief and the Bharat Jodo Yatra Prominent leader of Rahul Gandhi hoists the national flag at the party office. Venugopal said the idea was to create a 'permanent structure' for future generations. So the Congress's own property was chosen.

He said that Bharat Jodo Yatra is in its final phase and it will be held in Kashmir Valley on January 27, 28 and 29. He said, 'The yatra will end on January 29. On January 30, at 10 am, Rahul Gandhi will unfurl the national flag at the Pradesh Congress Committee office. There will be a public meeting at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar at 11 am. Venugopal said several opposition leaders have been invited for the meeting. He said that when Rahul Gandhi would unfurl the national flag, all district Congress chiefs would also unfurl the tricolor in their respective offices.
