Preparations have been intensified for the organization elections to be held in RJD. In the organizational elections, this time also the reservation will be applicable according to the previous roster. Regarding this, the party's Assistant National Chief Electoral Officer Chittaranjan Gagan told that the same roster of reservation has been implemented in the organizational election year 2022-2025 which was implemented in the organizational election year 2019-2022.

'No change has been made in the roster'

Chittaranjan Gagan said that the same roster of reservation has been implemented in the organizational election year 2022-2025, which was implemented in the organizational election year 2019-2022. The category for which the posts of Block President and District President were reserved in the last organizational year. In this organizational year also it will be reserved for the same category. There has been no change in the previous roster. Chittaranjan Gagan further informed that there are a total of 50 organizational district units in Bihar. In this, the post of president in 17 district units has been reserved for the most backward classes, while the post of president in 7 district units has been reserved for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

These districts are reserved for most backward classes

In Bihar, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur metropolis, Madhubani, Darbhanga metropolis, Samastipur, Begusarai metropolis, Supaul, Saharsa, Purnia, Purnia metropolis, Munger, Bhagalpur metropolis, Banka, Bihar Sharif metropolis, Jehanabad and Patna metropolis have been reserved for the most backward. Whereas Navagachia, Arwal, Kaimur, Nalanda, Araria, Siwan and Bagaha have been reserved for SC/ST.

'The decision has been taken in the interest of the organization'

The RJD leader said that to ensure proper representation of special interests in the organization, provision has been made for co-opted members. Under which the participation of minimum 25 percent women, 25 percent minorities, 30 percent Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and the remaining 20 percent of the total co-opted members at various levels except the initial unit will be ensured which have not been represented. In the initial unit, one member of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe will be represented as a co-opted member. Chittaranjan Gagan told that Rashtriya Janata Dal is the only party to implement reservation in the organizational structure of any party in the whole country.

28 percent reservation for backward classes in the party

Explain that in order to give special representation to the most backward and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Castes in the organizational structure of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), a provision has been made for special reservation for these classes in the Constitution of the RJD. According to the constitutional provisions of the party, 28 percent of the block and district presidents have been reserved for the most backward classes and 17 percent for the scheduled castes and tribes.
