Amazon, Costco, and more: the stores with benefits for retirees
Find out which stores like Amazon, Costco, and Walmart offer discounts and benefits for retirees in the United States
Many retirees in the United States face the challenge of living on a low income, so looking for discounts and special benefits can make a big difference. Several stores recognize this reality and offer exclusive perks for seniors, from age-appropriate discounts to reduced prices for those receiving government assistance.
Below, we share some of the most popular chains with benefits that retirees can take advantage of.
1. Amazon
While Amazon doesn't have a specific discount for seniors, it does offer a reduced-price membership called Prime Access Membership. To qualify, you must receive assistance through programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, TANF, and others.
Recipients can pay just $3.50 a month for the first three months, then $6.99 a month after that much less than the regular rate. This membership gives access to all the benefits of Amazon Prime, including free shipping, Prime Video, and more.
