The net profit of the country's largest telecom company Reliance Jio increased by 28.3 percent to Rs 4,638 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year. The company gave this information on Friday. Reliance Jio told the stock market that it had earned a net profit of Rs 3,615 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year 2021-22. The company's income rose to Rs 22,993 crore in the October-December quarter of the current financial year from Rs 19,347 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Other income stood at Rs 63 crore in the December quarter, according to Reliance Jio's statement. 155 crore in the same period a year ago. EBITDA during this period stood at Rs 12,009 crore. 22,521 crore in the same period a year ago. The company's operating margin expanded 50 basis points year-on-year to 26.6 percent. The company's net profit margin stood at 17.1 per cent during the December quarter as against 15.9 per cent in the year-ago quarter.
