Petrol-Diesel Price Today 5th July: Stability in petrol and diesel has helped in controlling inflation amid rising crude oil prices. For the last one and a half months, oil companies have not made any change in the price of petrol-diesel. Due to this the common man has breathed a sigh of relief. Let us tell you that the oil companies had cut the prices of commercial cylinders on July 1. Earlier, on May 21, the government had given relief by cutting excise duty.
Crude oil at $ 114 per barrel, on
the other hand WTI crude rose to $ 110.3 per barrel and Brent crude at $ 113.6 per barrel. On May 21, after the excise duty was reduced by the government, some states also reduced VAT. Even this brought a sigh of relief. Due to the reduction in excise duty, Rs 8 on petrol and Rs 6 on diesel was reduced.
