Hispanic man accused of hitting, kidnapping, and raping a woman arrested in Miami
The victim said she was parking her vehicle when the man hit her in the neck with a rock, threatened her with a screwdriver, and sexually abused her.
Daysnel Hernandez, 41, was arrested this Saturday in Miami and faces several charges, including sexual assault and kidnapping with a weapon, reported the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office.
According to the police report, on Thursday, the victim said she was parking her vehicle when Hernandez hit her in the back of the head with a rock. He then placed a screwdriver against her neck and forced her to move to an empty spot, where he hit her repeatedly.
The victim tried to escape, but Hernandez sexually assaulted her while holding the knife and forced her to commit sexual acts, according to the arrest report cited by Telemundo 51. During the attack, the woman begged him not to kill her, after which the man fled the scene.
The victim suffered multiple injuries all over his body.
Hernandez was initially arrested by Doral police for an unrelated case, but during an interrogation with Miami-Dade sheriff's deputies, he confessed to raping the victim. He now remains in custody at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
