Recent History
This comes three months after another Homewood officer shot and killed 18-year-old Jabari Peoples at a football stadium in the city.
In that case, the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office ruled that the officer was justified because the teen had tried to grab a gun from a vehicle after a struggle.
The teen's family disputed the official conclusion and filed a lawsuit seeking all the body camera footage recorded that night.
