Team Mexico fans gathered at the intersection of Whittier Boulevard and Leonard Avenue after Mexico was eliminated in the round of 16 at the Azteca Stadium, known during the tournament as Mexico City Stadium.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., an argument broke out that caused one person to draw a gun and shoot several times, injuring four victims, including two innocent bystanders, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD).
