Hispanic woman is accused of conspiracy to commit murder in Los Angeles

A Hispanic woman, co-founder of the “Ricos Tacos Naomi” food stalls, faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder for the death of her employee, Soledad López, in September 2025.
Mariana Yépez, 43, originally from Sonora, Mexico, was accused of being involved in the death of López, 47, whose body was found charred inside the trunk of a Honda Civic car, in a vehicle warehouse in south Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office and court documents reported by the Los Angeles Times, two more workers are also charged in the case: Sandra Romo, 52, accused of murder, and Óscar Villafranca, accused of conspiracy.
