A Boyle Heights resident with cancer has filed a lawsuit against Lineage, alleging it has spent huge amounts of money on air purifiers and utility costs due to a June 17 fire at a frozen food warehouse.
Eric Lara, a resident of Boyle Heights, filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Lineage on July 23, alleging negligence, property damage liability, public nuisance, trespass, strict liability and unlawful business practices.
Lara demands that the Lineage company pay compensatory and punitive damages for an unspecified amount.
