Mother of three found dead at Long Island gas station; a man was charged with murder
Suffolk County Police arrested a 40-year-old man on charges of murdering Juliann Bachmann, who was found injured and unconscious at a gas station.
Authorities are investigating a new murder case on Long Island following the death of a mother of three found inside a car at a Suffolk County gas station.
The victim was identified as Juliann Bachmann, 30, of Bellport, who was found injured and unconscious early Saturday morning at a Speedway gas station located in Yaphank.
The victim died hours later in the hospital.
According to the Suffolk County Police Department, officers responded to the scene shortly before 7:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a woman in critical condition inside a vehicle.
After being found by officers, Bachmann was rushed to NYU Langone — Suffolk Hospital in Patchogue, where she was later pronounced dead.
So far, authorities have not revealed the exact cause of death or details about the victim's injuries.
About 12 hours after the discovery, police arrested Michael McHenry, 40, also of Bellport.
The man was arrested around 8:15 p.m. Saturday and charged with second-degree murder.
Authorities said he remained in custody overnight and was scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.

For now, investigators have not publicly confirmed what the relationship was between Bachmann and McHenry or what circumstances surrounded the crime.
Police asked for the cooperation of anyone with information related to the case.
