Jennifer Lopez talks about her most difficult year: You can always exit stronger
The American singer reflected on the cancellation of her tour and other events that marked her life in 2024
Singer Jennifer Lopez opened her heart to her fans during her most recent performance in Barcelona, Spain. There, he reflected on the two difficult challenges he faced last year that turned his life upside down. How did he manage to get back on track? We tell you what she said.
During one of the breaks between songs in her show, the “On the Floor” singer spoke out about the cancellation of the tour she had scheduled to start in 2024, giving a look at how bad it felt after making this decision.
“Last summer I had to cancel a tour that we had planned in the United States and internationally. It hurt a lot to do it (…) I know that I don’t go on tour all the time, and my fans look forward to these moments… I do look forward to these moments, very much so,” she is heard saying in Spanish in front of the audience.
However, JLo stated that her driving force to get out of this emotional and professional slump was her children Emme and Max, the fruit of her marriage to salsa singer Marc Anthony.
“It was a tough summer for me and my children, but I made a promise to them: I wanted to show them that you can go through difficult times, that these things happen sometimes in life, but that you come out of everything stronger and better than before. You can always come out stronger,” she concluded amid applause from the audience.
Along with that ordeal, during this season of her life Jennifer Lopez experienced her divorce from actor Ben Affleck. And although she has remained tight-lipped about the reasons and details of her separation ever since, in a chat with the media outlet 'Interview' she revealed how she felt during the process.
"It was very difficult (...) A lonely, unknown, terrifying, desperate process," she said at the time. "But none of that kills you and you learn to find happiness on your own," she concluded.
