Great news for Swifties! After several weeks of speculation, American singer Taylor Swift confirmed the release of her twelfth studio album, titled "The Life of a Showgirl." How did the big reveal come about? Here are the details.
Always faithful to details, the singer of "Red" and "Lover" made sure to honor the number corresponding to his next album. How so? Making the acclaimed announcement in the early hours of August 12th at 12:12 am.
To do so, Taylor made a surprise appearance on the podcast “New Heights,” hosted by her partner, Travis Kelce, and her brother-in-law, Jason Kelce, whose extended version will be released on Wednesday, August 13th.
“This is my new album,” Taylor can be heard saying after pulling out a mint green briefcase with her initials “TS” written in orange and showing the camera the blurred cover of said album.
In addition to revealing the album title and the influence of the color orange on its aesthetic, it was reported that “The Life of a Showgirl” is now available for pre-sale in formats such as vinyl, CD with poster and cassette from the website TaylorSwift.com.
As if that were not enough, a partial list of songs that appear within the Republic Records production began to circulate on social networks: "The Fate of Ophelia", "Elizabeth Taylor", "Actually Romantic", "Honey" and the title track of her album, which is rumored to be a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
