Comedian Adam Sandler was crowned the highest paid actor in Hollywood in 2025, according to Forbes magazine. At 59, Sandler amassed $48 million in the last fiscal year, thanks to a combination of successful projects for the Netflix platform. The actor and producer starred in 'Happy Gilmore 2', the highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 sports comedy, and shared the screen with George Clooney in Jay Kelly. In this Netflix film, Sandler played Ron Sukenick, the devoted agent of a famous movie star, a role that earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Despite topping the list, Sandler's earnings are far from the $88 million that Dwayne Johnson earned in 2014, when he led the rankings. The top 5 and an overall 20% drop. The Forbes ranking reflects a lean year for the industry. The combined earnings of the 20 highest-paid actors were $590 million, a 20% decrease from last year's $730 million.
