Anne Hathaway revealed that her favorite look from The Devil Wears Prada 2 was removed
The actress shared her disappointment during the premiere in London when discovering that he decided to cut out the scene where she wore a design inspired by Phoebe Philo
Fashion and cinema merged again with the premiere of the long-awaited sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2. However, for its protagonist, Anne Hathaway, the return to-the-big-screen as Andy Sachs had a bittersweet taste.
The Oscar winner recently revealed to People magazine that her favorite outfit from the entire movie didn't make it through the editing process.
During the European premiere of the film, Hathaway confessed that she felt “heartbroken” to find out that the look, which she had rated her favorite in previous interviews, was eliminated.
This is a set composed of a white minimalist style t-shirt—with a flowing tail detail— designed under Phoebe Philo's aesthetic, combined with white shorts, black sunglasses and high impact accessories.
“It was more than just a garment, it was a complete statement of style. I loved it,” the actress declared.
Hathaway recalled the moment when she received the news: “The director, David Frankel, called me before I saw the movie and said: ‘It's been i do'. It was a blow, but at least it consoles me that the paparazzi caught us on the set in New York and the fans were able to see it somehow.”
The deleted scene showed an evolved Andy Sachs. In this sequel, set 20 years after the original, Andy no longer to please her boss, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), but she projects herself as a self-assured investigative journalist.
