Everything seems to indicate that the tension between the members of OV7 is far from over. And it is that Mariana Ochoa and Ari Borovoy recently had a disagreement that ended up compromising her performance at the tribute to the composer Guillermo Mendez Guiu.
According to the singer's account, her partner decided not to sing with her at the 80th edition of the "Exito SACM 2025" awards from the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico, where the composer of emblematic songs for groups such as Timbiriche and RBD received a tribute for his career.
"Memo made the invitation to me, he told me if I had any problem getting on stage with Ari to sing and I told him no," Mariana Ochoa told the media.
Furthermore, she detailed that despite having accepted the proposal to perform the song "Te Quiero Tanto," the music producer had changed his mind at the last minute. When questioned about the reason behind this about-turn in her decision, the celebrity claimed to be unaware.
“I don't know, ask the other side (Ari Borovoy). Maybe he set a condition, maybe that's why it didn't work out. I've always said hello to him. We did a tour together, he acted angry after a problem where his office let us all down, which he later vindicated in some way, but an apology was never received,” she shared regarding her current working relationship with Borovoy.
Finally, Mariana Ochoa made it clear that there is no hard feelings on her part and if there hasn't been any rapprochement it's because of her former partner: “I always came to say hello, sometimes he said hello to me, sometimes he didn't (…) I'm still waiting for an apology,” she reiterated.
Despite the absence of OV7, the tribute to composer Guillermo Mendez Guiu featured figures such as Benny Ibarra, Erik Rubin, Diego Schoening. The artist was also honored with the "Gran Maestro" award from the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico.
