Bad Bunny makes history as the first Latino nominated for the BRIT Awards
The artist added another achievement to his list by becoming the first Latin American nominated for the UK's most important music awards
Ahead of his highly anticipated performance at the Super Bowl LX halftime show, singer Bad Bunny has added another success to his list by being nominated for the BRIT Awards, thus becoming the first Latino to be considered in one of the categories of the prestigious awards ceremony.
According to the Industry announcement British Phonographic, the Puerto Rican is competing to win the award in the “International Artist of the Year” category, where artists such as Chappell Roan, CMAT, Doechii, Lady Gaga, Rosalia, Sabrina Carpenter, Sombr, Taylor Swift, and Tyler, The Creator are also nominated.
If he wins the award at the gala on February 28, Bad Bunny would also make history as the first Latin American artist to receive an award at the prestigious ceremony.
Last year, at the 2015 BRIT Awards, it was American Chappell Roan who won the title of “International Artist of the Year” during the ceremony held on March 1 in London.

The date for Bad Bunny's halftime show is February 8th at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. While details about the songs he'll perform and his guest artists are being kept secret, Benito Antonio shared that he promises to bring the Latin rhythm to the stage under the slogan "the world will dance."
