Actress Camila Sodi's name became a trending topic on social media after she shared an anecdote about her encounter with singer Michael Jackson. She claimed that she was the one who convinced him to join a party in New York.
In an interview with Yordi Rosado, the star of films like "How to Break Up with Your Jerk" and “Camino Amarte” revealed details of her interaction with the 'King of Pop' several years ago.
“Michael Jackson didn't want to leave his room. We were at a party, he was locked in a room, and they sent me to please get the guy out of there,” she said to the cameras of the YouTube program.
While Camila Sodi didn't give details of which party led to the encounter between the two celebrities, internet users were quick to speculate that it might have been the wedding of her aunt Thalia and music executive Tommy Mottola, who at that time maintained a close friendship with the multi-award-winning artist.
When questioned by interviewer Yordi Rosado about the encounter with Michael Jackson and whether it had made her nervous, the writer also assured that she felt very confident striking up a conversation with him.

“Today I'm opening up a very intimate part of myself: I wrote a book about grief. I feel deep gratitude and vulnerability in finally being able to share it; it comes out in November (…) My wish is that these pages will accompany, support, and serve as a light in the darkest moments,” she stated.
