The arrest of her father, Luis Alberto Rendon, caused shock not only in Colombia but also internationally. The reason: her alleged involvement in a case of torture and kidnapping that occurred in May 2023.
The incident, which allegedly took place on a farm belonging to the artist and her partner, fellow singer Mike Bahia, located in Antioquia, is once again generating public attention after the case was reactivated by the Colombian Attorney General's Office.
According to the testimonies collected by the authorities, the victims were allegedly detained and tortured for hours after being identified as possibly responsible for a robbery on the property.

Through an emotional post on her social media, the singer expressed her grief and reaffirmed her confidence in the values ??that, she says, were instilled in her by her family since childhood.
“The great values ??that are part of me today […] come from the people I grew up with,” Greeicy wrote, accompanying her message with a video full of family images. In the text, she highlighted honesty, hard work, and justice as the fundamental pillars she learned at home.

“Time will give time, space for the truth. And even if my heart suffers… always keep my head held high, because our conscience has taught us that if it is clean, we rest well,” she concluded her message.
