A month after its release, the movie “Michael” is having an incredible performance at the global box office. The film directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson is showing that negative reviews overshadow the legacy of the “King of Pop.”

According to data from Comscore, “Michael” grossed $26 million in the United States during its fourth week in theaters and reached $83.8 million worldwide, ranking first on both box office charts.

The film debuted at number one in mid-March, but was surpassed weeks later by “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” However, the fashion sequel lost nearly 400 theaters in its third week, returning the throne to “Michael,” who is proving to have one of the most loyal fan bases of the year.
