Through her Instagram account, the model shared a statement in which She explained why she decided to resign her title and any future affiliation with the Miss Universe Committee.
“As the representative of Ivory Coast in the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Bangkok, I was a direct witness to my ability to achieve great things despite adversity. But to continue on this path, I must remain true to my values: respect, dignity, excellence, and equal opportunity—the strongest pillars that guide me,” Yace's statement began.
“With a heart full of gratitude and deep respect, I announce my resignation from the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, as well as any future affiliation with the Miss Universe Committee,” the model added.
In the statement, Olivia Yace expressed that, throughout her career as an ambassador and beauty queen, she has acted with commitment, resilience, discipline, and determination, but that to reach her full potential, it is essential to maintain strong principles.
