Pete Davidson praises Kim Kardashian's acting: “She's very good”
Despite the criticism that Kim Kardashian has received for her performance, her ex-boyfriend took the opportunity to praise her work
Pete Davidson became the most unexpected defender of his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian's acting talent. The comedian did not hesitate to praise the businesswoman's skills during the latest episode of Netflix's “The Pete Davidson Show.”
While critics and some of the public are still skeptical of the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star’s foray into the world of acting, with roles in “American Horror Story: Delicate” and Ryan’s legal drama “Murphy All’s Fair” (2025), Davidson positioned himself in his favor.
The confession came while Davidson was interviewing comedian Nikki Glaser, co-star of the upcoming ensemble comedy “The Fifth Wheel,” directed by Eva Longoria. When talking about filming, Davidson mentioned Kardashian, who plays an attractive outsider who upsets the plans of a group of friends on a trip to Las Vegas.
“Isn't it crazy that Kim is good at acting?” Davidson asked. He then revealed a private conversation they had when they were still a couple: “I remember when we were dating, one day she just said, ‘I think I'm going to be an actress.’ And I was like, ‘Oh yeah!'”
Glaser immediately seconded the comment, praising the Skims founder for ignoring her detractors: “Whatever she wants to do, she will do, especially if people say, ‘You can't do this.’ She knew everyone was going to expect her to fail.”
From fleeting courtship to rivalry with Kanye West
Davidson and Kardashian had a nine-month relationship, which began shortly after the businesswoman split from Kanye West (now known as Ye) in 2021.
During that time, the rapper launched multiple attacks against his then new romantic rival, whom he used to derogatorily call “Skete.” The feud reached a dark point when Ye posted the video for “Eazy,” which featured a claymation figure of Davidson being kidnapped and decapitated.
Currently, Davidson has just separated from model Elsie Hewitt just five months after the birth of their daughter, Scottie.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian continues with her acting career, and now she has unexpected support: that of her ex-boyfriend, who encouraged her from day one.
