Pink denies that she and her husband Carey Hart are in the process of divorce
Hours before Pink's statement, People magazine claimed that the couple had decided to separate after 20 years together
In recent hours, a wave of rumors shook the stability of one of Hollywood's longest-standing couples. According to reports published by People, singer Pink and her husband, Carey Hart, have ended their relationship after two decades of marriage. The news, which broke on Thursday citing unspecified sources, suggested the couple had decided to separate for good. However, the star herself quickly addressed the speculation. Through her social media, specifically Instagram, Pink categorically denied the separation rumors. The artist stated that the information published by People was fake news and unfounded, insisting that both she and Hart are still together. “I just got word that I'm separated from my husband,” she said in a video. "I didn't know. Thanks for letting me know. Would you like to tell our kids too? My 14-year-old and 9-year-old sons don't know either," she expressed on the social network.
The singer continued: "Do you want to talk about my accomplishments or just my supposed passing? It's fake news, it's not true. I love you all."
When did Pink and her husband meet?
Pink (Alecia Moore) and Carey Hart met in the summer of 2001, during the X Games in Philadelphia. Their relationship had its ups and downs in the early years, with an on-again, off-again romance that culminated in a marriage proposal in 2005. The couple married in an intimate ceremony in Costa Rica in January 2006.
Like any marriage, theirs has faced difficult times. In 2008, they announced their first separation, a crisis that inspired one of Pink's biggest hits: the song 'So What'.
Hart appeared in the music video for that song, demonstrating that even in challenging times they maintained a unique connection. The reconciliation came in 2009, and since then they have formed a family with their two children: Willow, 14, and Jameson, 9. Over the years, Pink has been a fundamental pillar for Hart, especially during the multiple injuries the former motocross rider has suffered. Hart has even publicly apologized to his wife for some of his serious injuries, revealing that he suffered more than 80 bone fractures throughout his career.
