Sadie Sink reveals what her last day of filming Stranger Things was like: 'I cried a lot'
The actress who plays 'Max' in the Netflix production opened her heart and shared the changes she is going through after the closing of this chapter in her life
Ahead of the highly anticipated finale of the Netflix series "Stranger Things," actress Sadie Sink opened up about the experience of being part of this great global phenomenon, as well as the last day of filming the Fifth season. What did he say? Here's the scoop.
In a chat with "The Hollywood Reporter," the 23-year-old star spoke about the emotional toll that has come with closing this chapter in her life, one that began for her in 2016.
"I cried a lot on the last day of filming; I feel like I cried it properly and got it all out of my head. But I'm afraid there's still more to come," she told the publication.
Despite how difficult it is to say goodbye to this project, Sadie Sink joked about how "free" she'll feel once all the plot details are revealed: "It'll be great when everything finally comes out and I don't have to keep a secret about Stranger Things anymore," she added.
When asked about her most special moments during the filming of the fifth season, the young actress highlighted her reunion scene with actor Caleb McLaughlin, who plays "Lucas."
"That That scene was one of my favorites to film because it had been so long since I'd acted with my friends, who I've known for 10 years. It was a sweet moment amidst all the craziness. Seeing the bond between Max and Lucas and that reunion was very, very special,” she said.

As for her professional future, the redhead indicated that she is more than ready to welcome her role as part of the cast of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” a film starring Tom Holland and scheduled for release in July 2026.
“I’ve always loved Spider-Man, and Tom’s was especially my favorite. Being a fan of something and then joining it is a familiar feeling for me, because I was a Stranger Things fan before joining the show, but I was super excited about what they had planned,”She excitedly revealed.
Sink even joked about the great lesson Stranger Things taught her about not revealing secrets about the story: “I can’t wait to talk more about it. There’s so much I want to share. That’s why I feel like keeping Stranger Things secrets is pretty easy because I have so many Spider-Man secrets I can’t tell that they become even harder to keep,” she concluded.
