Telemundo presents New Year's programming with which it will seek to beat Univision
Telemundo revealed new details about the special programs with which the network will welcome 2026
The ratings war among the most important Spanish-language television networks in the country does not stop even on New Year's, where both Univision and Telemundo will seek to win over the audience in the special broadcast they will carry out to welcome 2026.
Univision will welcome the new year with 'Feliz 2026', while Telemundo will do so with 'Welcome 2026', a special program that will air from New York and Mexico.
The details about this show were revealed by Veronica Bastos on 'La Mesa Caliente', where she expressed her excitement about the surprises the network has prepared for the audience.
“Telemundo plans to have a grand celebration, 'Welcome 2026'. This will be next Wednesday, December 31st, starting at 8/7C with great guest artists and a constellation of hosts who will be broadcasting live throughout the United States and Mexico for all of you,” the Costa Rican journalist announced this Monday.
Although Veronica Bastos did not go into detail about the Telemundo team, it is known that Lourdes Stephen, Danilo Carrera, and Chiky Bombom will be the hosts from Times Square, while Jessica Carrillo and Gabriel Coronel will be in Queens.
The broadcast in Mexico will run Hosted by Andrea Meza, Anette Cuburu, Carlos Adyan, and Clovis Nienow.
In addition to the lineup of hosts, Telemundo also officially announced the singers who will be performing to ring in the New Year, including Ivy Queen, Yailin la Mas Viral, Chyno, and Nacho, among others.
The special New Year's broadcast will be rounded out by the program 'Al Rojo Vivo Special Edition: Adios 2025' at 7pm/6C and by 'The Rose Parade,' a parade that takes place in Pasadena, California, and which will be broadcast on the network for the first time.
'The Rose Parade' will air on January 1 at 11am/10C/8P and will be hosted by Carlos Calderon and Penelope Menchaca.
