The wait is over! BTS Announces New Album Release Date
The South Korean group confirmed their return to the music scene with a new album and a large-scale global tour after four years away from the stage
The South Korean band BTS has kicked off 2026 on the right foot, surprising their fans: their four-year musical hiatus will come to an end with the release of their new album.
On the morning of January 1st, the group's official social media accounts were adorned with the announcement of the release date for their new album, their first since "Proof" (2022), marking the beginning of a new stage in their career after the completion of their mandatory military service.
According to the statement released on digital platforms, ARMYs will have access to the new era of BTS on March 20th, 2026.
"We hope to make a safe comeback this year and that the album performs well. Let's make BTS a huge success," expressed RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook during the group live stream they performed in the early hours of January 1st.
In addition to the announcement on Instagram, X, and their official website, the comeback confirmation was also revealed in a special and symbolic way to fans subscribed to Weverse through handwritten letters sent directly to the homes of some of their ARMY.
The Soompi website reported that the postcard included thank-you messages from each of the seven BTS members along with the caption: “2026.03.20,” a key date in the start of their new musical era.
