Yuri reveals that Netflix rejected producing a documentary of her 'Iconica Tour'
The singer faced the streaming platform's refusal to produce an audiovisual piece to immortalize the success of her world tour
Amid the success of her "Iconica" tour, which has taken her to perform in the most important venues in Mexico and other parts of Latin America, singer Yuri continues to look for ways to pamper the public that has supported her throughout her more than 40 years of her career.
However, not everything has been smooth sailing in this process, as the Veracruz native revealed in one of her most recent interactions with fans on social media.
When asked about the possibility of immortalizing the “Iconica Tour” through a documentary or a special on a streaming platform, Yuri confessed that after an initial approach with Netflix, her proposal was rejected.
“Unfortunately, Netflix wasn't interested in the Iconica Tour project. Oh well, you can't please everyone,” the star stated in response to one of the comments her fans left on her official profile.
Without revealing further details, the music star chose to focus on the great reception her tour received in its first stage. We can't forget that in February of this year, a second series of concerts will begin as part of "Iconica," as well as a new retro project featuring songs from the 80s. Meanwhile, her gratitude was expressed through a touching message shared on her Instagram account. In it, she highlighted the support and affection she received for this project. "I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for your love, your support, your applause... every ticket sold, every effort you made to accompany me throughout the Americas. I can only say thank you, and a thousand times thank you," she expressed.
