All government hospitals will be on high alert in Patna on the occasion of Diwali, contact here if there is any problem

Patna. The government hospitals of the city are ready to deal with any untoward incident during Diwali. Especially the Health Department has put PMCH, IGIMS, NMCH, New Gardiner Road Hospital and Rajvanshi Nagar Hospital on high alert. Beds have been reserved in these hospitals. Teams of doctor para medical staff have been prepared as a precautionary measure. Adequate arrangements have been made for the medicines used in the treatment of firecracker burn patients. Arrangements have also been made for the treatment of eye problems. Emergency facilities have been further improved.
Separate teams in burn unit and emergency
Superintendent of PMCH Dr IS Thakur said that along with juniors, the duty of senior doctors has also been imposed separately. Special doctors will also be on call. Instructions have been given to admit emergency, surgery as well as burn patients. Separate teams have been set up especially in the burn unit and emergency. For Diwali, 20 beds have been reserved separately to deal with emergency situations. At the same time, roster duty of doctors has been imposed while reserving separate beds in IGIMS, Gardiner Road Hospital.
OPD will be closed today, can be treated in emergency
In view of Diwali, OPD of government hospitals including PMCH, IGIMS will remain closed on Monday. However, emergency wards will remain open in these hospitals, in case of any health-related problems, treatment will be done in the emergency ward. PMCH superintendent Dr IS Thakur said that only OPD service will be closed in view of Diwali.
Doctors will be posted 24 hours in different shifts
On Tuesday, doctors will be posted on duty at their scheduled time at 8:30 am. On the other hand, IGIMS Medical Superintendent Dr Manish Mandal said that on the day of Diwali, more than 100 additional doctors have been put on duty. Doctors will be posted 24 hours in different shifts to deal with burns and accidents.
