Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela 2023: The Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is organizing the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela (PMNAM) on March 20, 2023 in more than 200 districts across the country under the Skill India Mission.
Many local businesses and organizations have been invited to be a part of this fair to provide employment cum training opportunities. The event will represent companies from various sectors.
National Apprenticeship Mela: Who is eligible to participate?
To participate in the National Apprenticeship Fair, candidates can register for the fair by visiting apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and find out the nearest location of the fair. Those candidates who are class 5th to 12th pass or having certificate of skill training or ITI certificate holder or diploma holder or graduate can apply in this Apprenticeship fair. Candidates are required to carry three copies of their Resume, three copies of all mark sheets and certificates, photo identity proof (Aadhar Card/Driving License etc.) and three passport size photographs to the respective venues.
National Apprenticeship Mela: Candidates arrived with documents
Candidates can also visit the fair portal dgt.gov.in to see the location of Apprenticeship Fair. Those who have already enrolled are requested to reach the venue with all the relevant documents. Through this fair, candidates will also get National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) recognized certification, improving their employability rate after the training sessions. National Apprenticeship Mela: Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Launching
Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, said that apprenticeship is the best way to move from education to work. Through platforms like PMNAM, the government is making efforts to increase apprenticeships in India. The launch of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) will further boost apprenticeship training in the coming years. Apprenticeship fairs are organized across the country on the second Monday of every month. In these, the selected persons also get a monthly stipend as per the government norms for acquiring new skills. The government is trying to train 10 lakh youth every year through apprenticeship training.
