US strikes hit airport and bridges in Iran
Local media reported on the destruction left by US bombings in Iranian territory
Lethal overnight US strikes hit an airport, a train station in the port city of Bandar Abbas and two bridges in southern Iran near the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian state media reported on Friday.
The US military had announced a new salvo of strikes against Iran on Thursday, for the sixth consecutive night.
“Three explosions were heard around the airport and at least one US enemy projectile hit Iranshahr airport,” in the southeast, state television IRIB reported on Telegram.
"A few minutes ago, the Bandar Abbas railway station was attacked by the American enemy. According to this report, two Iranians were injured in the attack," Mehr news agency reported on Telegram.
An official report spoke of air attacks against two bridges in the province of Hormozgán and cited the IRNA agency, which indicated that two people had died and four were injured.
Hostilities between the United States and Iran resumed on July 7 after attacks on ships in the Gulf, attributed to the Islamic republic.
The bombings carried out since then are unprecedented since the April ceasefire and undermine diplomatic efforts to bring a lasting end to the conflict.
