This festival is celebrated for 4 days. This festival dedicated to Suryadev is celebrated with great pomp. If we look at the holiday in the banks, this time October 22 is the fourth Saturday. Banks will remain closed on Sunday, 23 October and Kali Puja and Diwali on 24 October.

Chhath holiday will start as soon as Diwali holiday ends. This time in Chhath, the setting sun will be worshiped on Sunday. While on Monday morning the rising sun will be worshipped. That is, even on this day banks will remain closed. In this way, if we look from the month of October, then the banks in Bihar will be closed for a total of 20 days in the whole month.

Chhath Puja starts with the method of Nahay Khay and this time this method will be on 28th October 2022, Friday.

Kharna is held on the second day of Nahay Khay. Chhath fasting also starts from this day. This time Kharna will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29.

After Kharna, Arghya will be offered on October 30 at sunset at 5:37 pm. Whereas on October 31 at sunrise, you will be offered Arghya to the rising sun at 6.31 am.
