After the successful launch of 'Chandrayaan 3', now many countries of the world are eyeing its safe and soft landing on the surface of the Moon. Soft landing on the surface of the moon, so far this position is achieved by three countries Russia, America and China. In September 2019, when Chandrayaan 2 attempted a soft landing on the lunar surface, communication with the Vikram lander was lost. In view of what happened during that time, this time Indian scientists have taken with them all those options which can be used for safe landing in any emergency. For this, not one or two, but many 'brain storming' sessions were organized in ISRO. The script for the safe landing of Chandrayaan 3 was written in these sessions. If any obstacle is encountered while landing on the lunar surface, it will be removed. Chandrayaan 3 will be stable even if a stone comes in front of it. Scientists have kept many options with them this time.
Third option is also ready for safe landing
Former Scientist and Head Radio Carbon Dating Lab, Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeology, Lucknow, Dr. CM Nautiyal says that there should be no worry about the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3. ISRO scientists in their 'brain storming' sessions have discussed everything that can happen at the last minute. India will succeed in the mission of safe and soft landing of Chandrayaan 3. The rover will run on the lunar surface and also conduct scientific experiments. Our scientists have learned a lot from the 2019 incident. The area that was earmarked for the landing of Chandrayaan 2 has now been increased considerably. Earlier that area was limited. This time a large area has been selected. If one place is not found suitable for landing, then another place will also be ready. Not only this, the third option will also be ready for the soft landing mission to be completed without any problem.
Can land in an area of one kilometer
There will be arrangements to take Chandrayaan 3 back and forth from the target site. It can have a safe landing within a kilometer radius. If one spot is not right, landing will happen at another spot. Chandrayaan 2 had five engines, this time four engines have been kept. This has been done so that the weight of Chandrayaan 3 remains low. Dr. CM Nautiyal says, the force of gravity is less on the Moon. There the weight remains 1/6 less as compared to the earth. There the same force acts in the opposite direction. Losing weight makes many things easier. Powerful sensors have been installed to maintain constant contact with Chandrayaan 3. Altimeter is being used to measure weight and height. Through this, we will know that what is the height of Chandrayaan 3 from the surface of the Moon. Weight measuring machine will work on the principle of Doppler. Through this, continuous height and weight will be detected. The scope of the place where Chandrayaan 3 will land has been increased.
Care has been taken not to disturb the balance
The environment on the surface of the Moon is clean. There is no scope for pollution there. If there is such a particle, it burns up in the air. Because of this, whatever object comes there, it directly hits the surface of the moon. When an object hits directly, it can also scatter here and there. There the rock comes out from the already sunken soil. There is no flowing water on the moon, so the pits there do not fill. Rock or crater, all remain the same. A flat site has been selected for Chandrayaan 3. Even if some substance comes in the way at that time, the balance of Chandrayaan will not be allowed to deteriorate. The photography of that time will continue. If there is any obstacle more than this, then the direction of Chandrayaan 3 will be changed. Our scientists have only practiced for a long time where the glitch could be. What will be his diagnosis, all these things have already been thought of. This is the reason why the option of changing the direction of Chandrayaan has been kept close by among the stones. All these commands remain completely automatic. The orbiter will control from there. Sensors have been installed in the lander. The success of 'Chandrayaan-3' will give India an opportunity to prepare a station outside the Earth i.e. on the Moon. From here it will be easy to go to other planets.
The success of 'Chandrayaan-3' will open many doors
According to Dr. CM Nautiyal, the success of 'Chandrayaan-3' is very important for us in many ways. This will demonstrate India's capability of safely landing on the Moon. In the year 2019, the soft landing of the lander could not be successful under the Chandrayaan-2 mission. Having the courage to send 'Chandrayaan-3' four years after a failure, has been a big deal. Everyone will be proud of its success. On the front of launching capability, payload achievement and safety, India's strength will increase. There will be a big help in India's missile technology. India's capacity to send satellites will increase. It would be easy to make accurate weather predictions. There will be an expected improvement in the ability to send heavy satellites. Apart from this, big changes will also be seen in the field of mapping of space. Mapping of natural resources will also become easier. Helium-3 has a significant potential on the Moon. If it is used then the energy crisis in the world will be averted. Dr. CM Nautiyal explains, using Helium-3 in nuclear reactors does not generate radioactive 'waste'.
working on nuclear fusion
The rays coming from the Sun, the 'solar wind', penetrate the Moon's soil. Due to this, the amount of Helium-3 keeps increasing there. Helium-3 will serve as a fuel for nuclear fusion. It is more efficient than Helium-4. Through this more energy is developed. The International Thermonuclear Experimental Plant 'ITER' is being used all over the world. In this work on nuclear fusion is going on. Through this, pollution free energy can be generated. Even if it takes a decade or two. All the countries of the world are looking towards this. The success of 'Chandrayaan-3' has geopolitical significance. After its success, we will get a station to go to other planets. Till now all this happens from the earth. The success of Chandrayaan 3 will give us an opportunity to build a station outside the Earth. Will be able to build a laboratory on the moon.
There will be better environment for lab working
Dr. CM Nautiyal says, the force of gravity is less on the Moon. There the weight remains 1/6 less as compared to the earth. In such a situation, new experiments are possible there. There is a better environment for lab working. The reason, there is no pollution on the moon. Due to this, we can work faster on semi conductors. Till now we used to see from the earth that some object will collide. Now it can be monitored from the moon. From there, any object like meteorite etc. can be seen very clearly. Such activities can be monitored from the Moon at all times. Since there is a polluted environment on the earth, any substance appears blurred. If the atmosphere is clear on the Moon, then meteorites can be easily seen from there. Important information about its size and direction can be obtained. With the success of Chandrayaan 3, India will also earn international currency. More and more countries will approach India to launch their satellites. In February 2017, India launched PSLV-C37. 104 satellites were launched with him. Out of those satellites, India had three satellites. The rest of the satellites belonged to the Netherlands, Israel, Kazakhstan, Switzerland and the US.
