The court of Gumla's ADJ-4 Anjani Anuj heard the case of gang rape with a minor on Tuesday. The judge sentenced the four accused, Bandhan Oraon, Mahesh Oraon, Ravindra Oraon and Deepak Gop, residents of Kapodih, present Kolpara Ghatha of Raidih block, to 20 years imprisonment. The four accused have been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000 under Section 376D. Failure to pay the fine may result in further imprisonment of one year. In this case, Special Public Prosecutor (POCSO) Mohammad Javed Hussain argued on behalf of the government side. The incident is of 13 February 2019.

After the rape, the victim had fallen into the pit while escaping from the clutches of the accused. Due to which his right hand was broken. After which she was treated in Sadar Hospital. During that time he had lodged an FIR against the four accused. In the FIR lodged, it was said that on the day of the incident, there was a Madwa program in his village regarding the marriage of a girl. In which the victim had gone to take part with her family members. When the victim felt defecation at 10 pm, she came out of the Madwa ceremony. During this, the above accused abducted him and took him to another place. Where all the four accused raped her in turn and threatened to kill anyone if she told anything about the incident or made a ruckus.

One of the accused Deepak Gop was holding his hand after the accused carried out the rape incident. On which the victim was running away leaving her hand. In this sequence, she fell into the pit. Due to which his right hand was broken. After which the victim went to her house and told everything to her mother.
